Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information AssignZone collects, how it is used and shared, and the choices you have. AssignZone is operated by [Legal business name], based in Massachusetts. It applies to the AssignZone website and app (the “Service”).

1. Our role

Hockey organizations use AssignZone to schedule home games and staff them with referees and timekeepers. For roster, schedule, assignment and pay information, we act on behalf of the organization you belong to: it decides what to collect and how to use it, and we store and process it to run the Service. If you have questions about how an organization uses your information, ask its administrator; you can also contact us.

2. Information we collect

Information you or your organization provide

Information collected automatically

3. Cookies

We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in for up to 30 days. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not load third-party tracking scripts.

4. How we use information

We do not sell your personal information, share it for targeted advertising, or use it to build marketing profiles.

5. How information is shared

Payments to officials are made outside the Service (for example through Venmo) and are governed by that provider’s privacy policy.

6. How we protect information

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we hold, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, automatic lockout after repeated failed sign-ins, and access controls that limit each organization’s administrators to their own organization. No system is completely secure. If a breach of security affects personal information of Massachusetts residents, we will provide notice as required by M.G.L. c. 93H and maintain safeguards consistent with 201 CMR 17.00.

7. How long we keep information

We keep account information while your account is active. When you are removed from an organization, that organization’s records of games you worked and pay may be kept as part of its records. You can ask us to delete your account; we will delete or de-identify your personal information unless we need to keep it to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes or enforce agreements. Deleted information may remain in routine backups for a limited time before it is overwritten.

8. Your choices and rights

We will respond to requests within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity first.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Officials aged 13 to 17 may use the Service only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, and organizations are responsible for obtaining that consent. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we make material changes we will update the effective date and ask you to review and accept the new version.
